FARMINGTON – A sound system was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at Hannaford in the early morning hours Sunday.
Flint York, 20, of Chesterville, was working overnight at the supermarket and discovered the theft at 4:50 a.m., according to police records. Farmington police officer Andrew Hufnagel investigated.
York told the officer he had left the driver’s side door of his GMC pickup unlocked. A 600-watt amplifier, subwoofer and other stereo equipment worth about $1,700 was torn from the dashboard and console.
