LEWISTON – Rita L. Morin, 82, formerly of Frye School Apartments, died Tuesday Jan. 11, at D’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Waterville, on May 15, 1922 the daughter of Cleophas and Irene (Ducharme) Letourneau, and had been a resident of this community since 1930.

She was educated by the Gray Nuns at Marcotte Home and Ave Maria Academy in Sabattus.

She was employed by the age of 12 at St. Mary’s Hospital, the Bates Mill, Continental Mill and by Country Kitchen Bakery.

She married Roger G. Morin on Oct. 26, 1946, and he died on Nov. 4, 1979.

She was a loving mother, wife and memere, and also a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Morin of Lewiston and Robert Morin and his wife, Norma, of St. Augustine, Fla.; one daughter, Pauline Wilson and her husband, Larry, of Lisbon Falls; one half-brother, Raymond Letourneau of Auburn; seven grandchildren, Angie, Jenny, Christopher, TJ, Danny, Virginia and Jeremy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one sister, Pauline Thibault; and two brothers, Roland and Robert Letourneau.
