NORWAY – Betty L. Bean Hall, 64, of Otisfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Norway, Dec. 2, 1940, the daughter of Everett and Alice Lamb Bean. She graduated from Norway High School.
While her family was growing up, she was a homemaker working tirelessly to keep a busy farmhouse going as well as keeping up with the lawns. At one time there were four generations living at the farm.
Later she was a dispatcher for the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department for 17 years.
She enjoyed Christmas, knitting and crocheting, and making gifts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed helping her son in the barn, reading and shopping.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Bean of Otisfield; two daughters, Tara Durgin and her husband, Larry, of Greenwood and Tricia Hall of Oxford; a son, Everett and his wife, Dawn, of Otisfield; five grandchildren, Jessica, Kaleb, Kinsey, Brenna and Jarred; one great-grandchild, Kyle; a brother, Richard Bean of Otisfield; and a sister, Judy Hunter of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her father, Everett, and a sister, Beverly Butters.
