Alcohol is very dangerous; it can really hurt people if they are underage. Alcohol may cause short-term memory loss. Alcohol can lead to gangs and violence. Alcohol is definitely a big problem.
Most people think of getting drunk as having a good time but alcohol has many bad effects. Alcohol slows a person’s reflexes down, which could lead to car accidents. It causes bad breath. It may lead to liver disease and it causes brain cell loss.
Eleven million Americans under 21 drink alcohol. The average boy tries alcohol at 11 years of age, and girls try it at 13. Underage drinking is involved in nearly half of all teen crashes. It is also linked to almost two-thirds of all sexual assaults and rapes.
Parents should become more aware that their son or daughter might be drinking alcohol. They should pay more attention to their teens and ask what they are doing. I hope that parents start paying more attention to their kids or someday they could really get hurt.
