Anorexia is very common in young women and men. People should be aware of the problems associated with eating disorders.

Young women between the ages of 12 and 25 have the biggest problem with eating disorders. There are ways that you can tell if your child or your friend is going through this. Common problems that people have when they are going through this are an aversion to meats, cold sensitivity, compulsive behavior, over-activity, hoarding of food and over-exercise (often to exhaustion). People should talk to their children or friends and see what’s going on in their heads. Once they talk about their eating disorder, they might stop doing it after they hear the facts. More than 1,000 women die from anorexia in the U.S. alone every six months.

Parents should talk to their children and know what’s going through their minds. People need to help their friends who might have eating disorders. It’s important. Eating disorders can be very dangerous to young adults.
