I was sick to my stomach when I read the letter that Patricia Adams of Lewiston wrote to the Sun Journal complaining about our president, (Jan. 5).
Does she actually think that President Bush is the very first president to live or put our country in debt?
Second, I voted for Bush and I’m proud of it, because I believe in justice and standing on two feet and fighting back. If we had not gone over to Iraq to show them that they can’t get away with killing thousands of our people on our own soil, how many times do they think they would have come back to do more damage?
Kenny Rogers wrote and sang the song about the coward of the county. The song has a lot in common with this war. Tommy starts out a coward in the beginning but ends up a hero in the end because he stands up on his two feet and fights back.
Or let me put it a little simpler. If a woman gets beat everyday by her husband, if she doesn’t stand up and do something about it, the beatings will never end and just get worse.
We should be thankful we have a president who is not a coward and believes in fighting back.
