We have a very large population of different races in the United States. Even though we may be different, we’re all equal. We are all individuals and it is our choice to show our true colors and become one – one family, one community, one world.
Racism has been going on for more than 1,000 years. Ever since the birth of our nation, there were different levels. Slaves were the lowest of this chain. During the Civil War, our nation was engaged in a great battle deciding whether all men were created equal under God. The Ku Klux Klan is a group that hates other races. Plus there are neo-Nazi groups that hate other races.
We must put a stop to all that nonsense and reform ourselves as a nation.
We’ve come a long way, but there is room for improvement. I think that we should support programs like the unity project because it will show us how truly awful racism really is. Plus, we will learn how to make peace between different races.
