LEWISTON – Post 22, American Legion, will conduct two special community programs at a membership meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at the old Post 22 home, 190 Bates St.

A business meeting will include membership and finances updates. Membership dues for the year 2005 are $23 for regular members and $10.50 for honorary life members.

Attorney Robert Couturier, former Lewiston mayor, will speak on making wills and the proper procedures to use in making a legal document.

The post will celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., civil rights activist. Special prayers will be offered and a proclamation for the occasion will be read.

All members must present paid-up 2005 membership cards or pay their dues at the meeting.
