PARIS – Abigail Rogers of South Paris will attend the Presidential Classroom’s Program, Feb. 5 to 12 in Washington, D.C.

Presidential Classroom, the leader in civic education, provides the best and brightest high school juniors and seniors access to the leaders who shape America’s public policy. Participants will examine the role of the government in issues related to scientific discoveries and technological advances.

PC Scholars will interact with Washington insiders, including members of Congress, presidential appointees, senior military officials, top business leaders and journalists. Students will observe the U.S. Congress in action, visit their congressional offices and debate current issues with peers from the United States and abroad.

They will also visit sites of the nation’s capital such as the White House, the U.S. Department of State and Arlington National Cemetery. Additional highlights will include a seminar on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, a seminar with a NASA astronaut and visits to the National Security Agency and the National Academy of Sciences.
