NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Katherine H. Ansden, 91, formerly of Farmington, died Jan. 4 in New Port Richey, Fla., after suffering with Alzhiemers for the past few years.

She was born June 29, 1913, in Carthage, the daughter of Earl M. and Pearl (Holman) Hutchinson. She grew up in Temple, and graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 1933.

She married Oiva Ansden on Aug. 22, 1942 in Farmington, and he died in 1982. She lived in Farmington all her adult life before moving to Florida in her retirement. She was always a very hard worker and was employed by Maine Dowel for more than 32 years, retiring in 1973. She also attended Henderson Memorial Baptist Church in Farmington. Katherine enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, flower gardening, and collecting all kinds of items.

She leaves behind one sister, Madeline Bacon of Farmington; one brother, Dale Hutchinson of Turner; her sister-in-law Evelyn Hutchinson of New Port Richey, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her husband; and two brothers, Harland and Douglas Hutchinson.
