I am writing in regard to the seat belt law. I admit they can save lives under some circumstances and not so on some.

I think mostly that my biggest pet peeve is being told that if the governor passes this seat belt law, we have to wear them.

Who is running this country? Surely not the people who live in it.

We are supposed to be living in the land of the free, but it doesn’t look that way when we are told we have to wear a seat belt or be fined. We pay insurance, registration and upkeep on our vehicles so we should make our own decision on seat belts.
