NORWAY – A workshop for people interested in teaching in the Art Moves into the Schools program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Art Moves Dance Studio on Cottage Street.

Debi Irons will be the instructor for teen and adult dancers with at least five years of serious dance training. Residencies have begun or are being set up in many local schools. This workshop is open to all dancers who are competent, caring, and creative.

This is an opportunity to learn how to teach dance to specific age groups, how to deal with different group dynamics, and especially how to draw out an individual’s self-expression and encourage creativity and interaction.

This workshop is also open to any physical education teacher who has to teach dance in their school. The workshop fee is $10. To register phone 743-5569 or e-mail [email protected]. Class size is limited.
