AUBURN – The Rev. Leo E. Begin Library has recently acquired the 40-volume Blue Drouin Collection, along with the “Hard to Find Marriages” on microfilm.

The collection was owned by the society’s longtime member, the Rev. Youville Labonte, and was acquired by the library when Labonte retired to Florida last summer.

The Maine Franco-American Genealogical Society Library and the Biddeford Franco-American Genealogical Society Library are the only two to have the collection.

The library is open for research from 1 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

For more information, call 786-3327 on the days the library is open. It is located at the corner of High and Academy streets in the Great Falls School, across from the Village Inn.
