AUBURN – L-A Dox took over sole possession of first place this week in the Auburn Rec Men’s Slowdown Basketball League. Verne Paradie netted 22 points and Mark Stubbs added 18 as undefeated Dox knocked off previously-unbeaten Scott Thayer Auto 58-50. Chris Randall led Thayer with 19. Dave Ferraro was next with 12.
GE also suffered its first setback, 51-43 to Fitness World. Farausi Cherry and Matt Winslow both scored 13 for the winners. Frank Perry paced GE with 11. Jayson Thibault added 10.
L-A Orphans broke into the win column for the first time with a 72-34 triumph over Sunryse Productions. Greg Viner led with 16 points. Dan Rottenberg added 14. Ben Lachance and Randy Jackson each collected 11 in a losing effort.
Peter Casey registered 22 and Bob Bowie added 20 as West Shore rolled past Rocky Mountain Oysters 91-51. Dan Goggin paced the Oysters with 20. Eric Camire added 11.

TURNER – Ben Alpren Machine earned its sixth straight victory in the the Leavitt Area Men’s Basketball League Sunday, a 122-81 win over Fitness World. Shawn Spadea netted 32 for the Machinists. Dan Coleman added 26 and Nate Pelletier 24. Sherwin McKenzie (25) and Al Smith (18) paced Fitness.
Dubord Realty/Ranor stayed just a game behind the undefeated leader with an 80-75 victory over Lake City Exports. Aaron St. Pierre poured in 36 for the winners. Ryan Giroux led Exports with 17. Jesse St. Laurent added 16.
Lance Poland tallied 26 and David Berry 19 as Lisbon Road Animal Hospital knocked off the Shooters 111-98. Chip Webster hit 30 in a losing effort.
Chris Williamson torched the nets for 49 points as Sturtevant & Ham Insurance trimmed Ruff Riders 105-85. Josh Morin scored 31 for Riders.
