BRUNSWICK – Rose D. Labbe, 94, of Maurice Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Mid Coast Hospital.
She was born in Canada, Nov. 27, 1910, the daughter of Zephrin and Maria Levesque LaPierre. She attended Canadian and Lewiston schools, moving to Lewiston at the age of 12.
In 1926, she moved to Brunswick and worked at the Cabot, and then Verney Mill for 46 years, retiring in 1972. In 1928, she married Philaus Labbe. He died in 1929.
She enjoyed playing beano, and she was a former member of the Third Order of Mary. She was also a member of St. John’s the Baptist Church, Topsham American Legion Auxiliary, and the Evergreens.
Surviving are three sisters, Cecile Rector, Therese Pelletier, and Rita Bolduc, all of Brunswick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
