OXFORD – Deadlines have been set for the Skateboard Park Planning Committee’s logo design contest and the coupon booklet fund-raiser.

The winning logo will be printed on skateboards that will be sold for $35 to benefit the park project. Submissions are due Feb. 18, and may be mailed to John Parsons at the SAD 17 administrative office, 1570 Main St., Suite 11, Oxford, 04270.

Coupon submissions are due by the end of January. Oxford Hills businesses are being invited to submit up to three coupons that will be printed in a booklet and sold throughout the community. Only 500 booklets will be printed, committee member Deedee Estes said. Businesses will not be charge for submitting coupons.

So far, the committee has gathered coupons for everything from haircuts and perms to karate lessons, Estes said. For more information, people can contact her at 743-7450.

The Skateboard Park Planning Committee will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday to discuss its fund raising efforts. The group is still looking for the donation of materials, labor and equipment to help with the construction of a professionally-designed skateboard park in Paris, according to a spokesman.
