GREENVILLE, R.I. – Donald W. Lewis, 85, of Fanning Lane, Greenville, R.I., a sales manager for Highland Memorial Park in Johnston for 30 years before retiring 20 years ago, died Thursday, Jan. 20, at his home.

Born in Poland, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Arvilla (Thurston) Lewis. He had been a resident of Greenville for 50 years and had previously lived in Maine.

He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the South Pacific, a member of the Balfour-Cole V.F.W. Post 2929 and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was the husband of Elizabeth G. (Duncan) Lewis. They had been married for 60 years.

He is also survived by three sons, John S. Lewis of Harrisville, R.I., Kenneth R. Lewis of Glocester, R.I., Stephen W. Lewis of Warwick, R.I. ; a daughter, Janice R. Pass of Durham; a sister, Dorothy Sweet in California; six grandchildren, Kimberly Campbell, Robin, Kenny and Christine Lewis, Michael and Matthew Pass; and two great-grandchildren, David Campbell Jr. and Meghan Campbell.

He was the brother of the late Guy A. and John Lewis.
