PARIS – New start dates are announced for the following Adult Education classes offered at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School:

Biology with lab: A basic course in biology, with an emphasis on human biology, suitable for people preparing for nursing or other college programs. The class will meet 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for 15 weeks, starting Tuesday, Jan. 25. One high school credit will be given. Nondiploma tuition is $60; lab fee, $15; and book deposit, $25.

Welding: Learn to run stringer beads in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead welding. The course will help people working on state certification and will give one high school credit. The class will meet 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Feb. 2. The tuition is $160 and lab fee is $60.

High pressure boiler operator: The objective is to provide boiler operators with the knowledge and techniques to operate and maintain a steam generating plant in a safe and efficient manner. It is designed to prepare the students for the Maine high pressure boiler operator licensing exam. The 12-week class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Jan. 26. The tuition is $200 and the text fee is $55.
