NORWAY – The Progress Center, with offices located in Norway, has announced that the Department of Health and Human Services has certified the center as an individual support options provider.
Individual support options is a new way of providing homes for adults with developmental disabilities such as mental retardation.
The Progress Center will contract with local homeowners to be host families for one or two individuals with developmental disabilities. The center will provide training and ongoing support and supervision to the host family and the person living with them. Emphasis is on matching the individual in need of a home with the right family in the community.
