Lodge meeting

LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Ralph Wright Memorial Building, 284 Federal Road. The meeting will be preceded by a 12:30 p.m. lunch with Marge Pritsky and Roberta Moulton as hostesses. The birthday of Thomas Wildey, the founder of Odd Fellowship, will be observed, and a food sale will follow the meeting. All attending are asked to bring something for the sale.

Reading program

FARMINGTON – Area children preschool age and younger are invited to “A Reading Wonderland” on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Mallett School. Parents and children are invited to visit the school between 9:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. to choose a free book at the second of three annual literacy events offered at the school through the Reading is Fundamental program. For the second year, Mallett School has received a grant to participate in the program and offer three free books to all its students and area prekindergarten children over the course of the year. Improv night

FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue Theatre Company presents the Mt. Blue Curtain Raisers Improv Comedy Troupe in “For External Use Only” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28 and 29, in Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington. The show features skits composed before the audiences’ eyes, and audience members will have opportunities to join in. There will also be a performance by the Mt. Blue High School dance team.
