Parents and college-bound students will get help Sunday navigating the maze of financial aid.

The annual College Goal Sunday will offer 15 group seminars on filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. The complicated form is required for all state and federal financial aid programs.

Parents and prospective students are encouraged to bring their 2004 tax information for line-by-line assistance in completing the FAFSA form. Individual questions will be addressed during the group seminars. Presenters will also offer additional information about scholarships and other forms of financial aid.

Local seminars will be held at the Multi-Purpose Center in Lewiston, the University of Maine at Farmington, University of Maine at Augusta and Southern Maine Community College in South Portland. All local seminars will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.

One person at each site will win $1,000 for college.
