PARIS – A 41-year-old Greenwood man will spend the next year behind bars after pleading guilty Thursday to operating after license revocation and operating under the influence.

Gilbert Christopher, of 205 Rowe Hill Road, was sentenced in Oxford County Superior Court to five years, with all but one year suspended, and three years’ probation. He still must face a felony charge of operating under the influence in Lincoln County.

Christopher was stopped by Paris police on Oct. 4, 2004, and charged with operating after license revocation. He was convicted in 1998 of operating under the influence in Wiscasset District Court.

He was stopped in Bethel on June 19 and charged with operating while under the influence.

Christopher was also fined $2,000 on the OUI charge and had his driver’s license revoked for six years.

In an unrelated case, Dale Kenneth McNeil, 35, of Town Farm Road in Hartford, pleaded guilty to operating under the influence on Oct. 7, 2004, in Leeds.

He received a sentence of 40 days in jail, total fines of $1,090 and an 18-month suspension of his driver’s license.
