LIVERMORE FALLS – Levi Armandi scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half to lead Livermore Falls to a 58-41 victory over Dirigo.
Mike Durrell and Brad Bryant each scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Andies (3-10).
Mike Holmquist led Dirigo (5-8) with 11 points.
Wiscasset 58, Mt. Abram 54
MT. ABRAM – Joe Gallant drained 14 points Thursday as Wiscasset edged out Mt. Abram 58-54 in MVC boys’ basketball .
Mt. Abram was up 50-47 with three minutes left in regulation, but let it slip away with a momentary lapse in defense.
Conrad Griffin chipped in for the Redskins (10-3) with 12 points, while Curtis Decosta added 11.
Jordan Norton led the Roadrunners (5-8) with a game-high 22 points, including seven 3-pointers. Eric Field contributed with 15 points, while Aaron Adams tallied 10.
Boothbay 64, Jay 57
JAY – Freshman sensation Chris Noonan poured in 21 points Thursday night to power Boothbay to a 64-57 victory over Jay.
Boothbay trailed by one at the break, then went on an 18-9 run in the third quarter to take control of the pace.
Pat Norton chipped in for the Seahawks (9-4) with 13 points, while Owen Johnson added 12.
Shane Bourgault led the Tigers (6-8) with a solid 16-point performance, while Brad Loon tallied 14 and Ryan DiPompo added 13.
Mountain Valley 86, Monmouth 32
MONMOUTH – DJ Gerrish and Andy Shorey tallied 13 points apiece Thursday to pace undefeated Mountain Valley to an 86-32 rout over Monmouth.
Mountain Valley held a commanding 39-16 lead at the break.
Korey Stairs chipped in for the Falcons (13-0) with 11 points, while Jared Oldham added 10.
Ben Seefeldt led the Mustangs (0-13) with seven points and Kyle Pelletier scored six.
Georges Valley 39, Winthrop 34
WINTHROP – Max Johanson led all scorers with 12 points as Georges Valley defeated Winthrop 39-34 Thursday night.
The Buccaneers took advantage of the Ramblers poor shooting in the second half (1 for 19) to come from behind for the victory.
After leading 23-20 at the intermission, the Ramblers went cold. Winthrop’s lone second-half bucket came from Chip Burnham. The remaining nine points came from the charity stripe.
Sam LeClerc led the Ramblers (7-4) with 10 points.
Lisbon 51, Carrabec 50
NORTH ANSON – Chris Kates nailed a pair of free throws late in overtime Thursday to lift Lisbon to a 51-50 victory over Carrabec.
Mike Wilkins led the Greyhounds with 15 points, while Kates ended up with 13.
Tim Therrian led the Cobras (1-12) with a game-high 25 points, while Brandon Curtis added 10.
Lisbon stayed in contention throughout the game and saved just enough for the overtime victory.
Hockey
Lewiston 5, Waterville 0
WATERVILLE – Lewiston received goals from five different players as the Blue Devils blanked Waterville 5-0 in hockey action Thursday.
After a scoreless first period, goals by John Roy, Toby Poirier and Nate Gruz gave the Blue Devils (9-4) a 3-0 cushion after two periods.
Brandon Girardin and Jordan Bourgoin added insurance goals in the final frame.
Nick Langlois stopped all 20 shots in the Lewiston net.
The loss drops Waterville to 7-5.
