AUBURN – Gardiner defeated Greater Rumford Community Center 38-27 in the title contest to capture the championship in the recent Auburn-Lewiston YMCA Third-Fourth-Grade Travel Basketball Tournament sponsored by Lever’s Day Center.

Ian Lane netted 10 points for the champs. Greg Walton added 9 and Justin Gardiner 6. Rumford, playing its third game in a row, was paced by T.J. Frost with 8 points. A. Valruick and A. Phelps added 6 apiece.

Other tourney participants included Auburn-Lewiston YMCA and Wilton.
