GARDINER – The Maine Hysterical Society, composed of performance artists, actors, musicians and Down East humorists, will perform Saturday, Feb. 12, at Johnson Hall.

The group will also perform March 19 at a fund-raiser for the Jane deFrees scholarship for Mountain Valley High School seniors, set up by the Rumford Historical Society.

Scholarships of $500 are awarded each year.

Performing in March at Muskie Auditorium will be Randy Judkins and Barney Martin, two former students of deFrees, a community leader and former member of the State Board of Education.

She and her husband, Burt, were the parents of three children. She died Sept. 16.

Tickets will go on sale Feb 1. They will be sold at various local businesses and at the high school office.

Feb. 12, society members will present a comedy variety show featuring original novelty songs, funny Maine characters, juggling and more.

The show will begin at 7 p.m.
