LEWISTON – Albertine Lapointe, 103, formally of 50 Tenth St., Auburn, died at d’Youville Pavilion on Friday, Jan. 28.

Born in St. Alexandre, P.Q., Canada, on June 20, 1901, she was the daughter of Pierre and Alphonsine Pelletier Cloutier.

Educated in local schools, she went to work as a stainer at a local shoe manufacturing company.

She was a member of the Sodality, Ladies of Saint Anne of Saint Louis, and a parishioner of St. Louis Church.

She loved playing cards, knitting, and spending her summers at Lower Flying Point in Freeport.

She is survived by her son, Gerard and wife, Connie, of Auburn; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a dear and close friend, Cecile Footman, of Lisbon.

She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Roger Lapointe; and one daughter, Anita Denis; and by many brothers and sisters.
