MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Mike Cammalleri notched a goal and an assist and Adam Hauser made 22 saves as the Manchester Monarchs defeated the Portland Pirates 4-1 on Friday night.

The Monarchs scored the only two goals of the second period to extend their lead to 4-1 after 40 minutes of play. Dustin Brown’s slap shot pushed the Monarch lead to 3-1.

Cammalleri then knocked home the rebound of the Jason Holland shot while on the power play for a 4-1 advantage heading into the third period.

Jason Ulmer gave the Pirates a 1-0 lead when his wrap around attempt found its way behind Hauser. The Monarchs tied it 25 seconds later as Jeff Giuliano blasted a slap shot past Maxime Ouellet. Manchester took a 2-1 lead when George Parros knocked home the rebound of a Denis Grebeshkov shot while on the power play.
