LEWISTON – Therese D. Nadeau, 84, of 78 Winter St., died Friday, Jan. 28, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston, on Aug. 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Bertha Bernier and Archille Audette.

On Oct. 18, 1941 she married Rene Nadeau, who died in 1982.

She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church and was employed many years at Bates Manufacturing Co. and as a switchboard operator at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was an associate with the Sisters of Charity and an auxiliary member, volunteer and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Hospital. She also belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, Holy Cross Senior Citizens, La Rancontre, Les Marchandes de Bonheur and Cercle St. Sacrement.

She is survived by a sister, Gabrielle Gauthier of Lewiston; a brother, Fernand Audette of Sabattus; along with several nephews and nieces.
