BANGOR – The wedding of Victoria A. Waller and Daniel J. Sovetsky was held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 15 in Bangor. The Rev. Alexander Craig officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Sovetsky is the daughter of Rosemary L. and the late Alexander E. Waller of Dexter. Mr. Sovetsky is the son of Kathryn M. and John S. Sovetsky of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by the father of the bridegroom, wore an ivory gown with A-line skirt and empire waistline. She carried a bouquet of roses and fresh herbs.
Lindsay N. Waller, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Andrea Kelley and Pamela MacKechnie, friends of the bride, and Katie Sovetsky, niece-in-law of the bride.
Jonathan Ames, friend of the bridegroom, served as best man and ushers were Trevor Sovetsky, nephew of the bridegroom, Edward Sovetsky, cousin of the bridegroom, and David Sovetsky, brother of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at the Ramada Inn in Bangor, after which the couple stayed at the Lucerne Inn in Bangor. They are residing in Old Orchard Beach.
The bride is a graduate of Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass., and is employed by the State of Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and is employed at York High School.
