ORONO – Senior Missy Traversi scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Maine to an 88-60 win over Stony Brook.

The Black Bears (10-8, 6-2) took a 44-28 lead into the intermission and never looked back. Abby Schrader (15 points), Ashley Underwood (14 points) and Katie Whittier (12 points) also hit double figures.

Stony Brook was led by MyKeema Ford’s 21 points.

Thomas 107, UMPI 72

WATERVILLE – Adam Rich didn’t stop at the nine points he needed Sunday to join the Thomas College 1,000-point club.

The senior guard poured in 51 points, including a team-record 12 3-pointers, to lead the Terriers to a 107-72 victory over Maine-Presque Isle.

James Godley chipped in with 14 points for the Terriers (6-11). The Owls (3-12) stayed in the game in the first half behind the hot shooting of Fabian Leonx, who had 29 points.
