LEWISTON – Francis M. Beauchesne, 81, of 4 Orchard Heights, died Monday, Jan. 31, upon arrival at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston, June 26, 1923, a son of Francois and Emilea Robichaud Beauchesne, he was educated in Lewiston schools.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, worked for L. P. Bail, on oil delivery, Bates Manufacturing Co., as a loom fixer, and part time at Parent’s Furniture Store.

He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus Council 106, Lewiston, 4th Degree Thomas J. Wallace Assembly of Lewiston, American Legion Post 22, Lewiston, and Association Canados Americaine.

He is survived by his wife, the former Annette R. Rousseau, of Lewiston, whom he married June 3, 1946; two daughters, Nancy A. Dennis and Jacqueline Robert, both of Lewiston; two sons and spouses, Ronald and Melissa Beauchesne of Cumberland, and Richard and Irene Beauchesne of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren and spouses, Troy and Maxine Dennis, John and Michelle Caron, Scott and Karen Charette, John and Trina Elsman, Chad, Kristy, Jack and Julia Beauchesne, and Jennifer Robert; step-grandchildren, Matthew and Stacey Angers, and Brian O’Connell; eight great-grandchildren, Briana and Gabrielle Caron, Nicholas, Eric, and Adam Dennis, Alexis Elsman, and Ethan Charette; and a stepgreat-granddaughter Kaila Elsman.
