As part of the One Book, One Community celebration in the Oxford Hills area, a series of book discussions will be held during February and March.
Anyone interested is invited to attend one or more of the discussions listed below. Books are available at the opening event or from any of the participating libraries for $4.
The book chosen is “Ernie’s Ark” by Monica Wood, an Oxford County native who lives in Portland.
The opening program of the One Book, One Community series will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, in the Forum of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Paris. Readers will have an opportunity to meet Wood, who will do a short reading, talk about how the book came about and the role of her own background in it, and answer questions.
Participants may then sign up for a book discussion group and purchase a copy. Books are also available from the local libraries listed below.
