FARMINGTON – The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 of Farmington has awarded three scholarships in memory of Bernice Crosby. They are awarded to a high school senior who is planning to further their education. The recipient must have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the American Legion or Auxiliary. Recipients are Shelly Stevens, Blake Durrell and Seth Webber.

Stevens recently started classes in culinary arts at Vermont’s New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vt. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stevens Jr. of Farmington.

Durrell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Durrell of Bedford, Nova Scotia. Stephen grew up in Farmington.

Webber has completed his first semester at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor, studying welding/pipe fabrication. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Scott Webber of New Vineyard.
