POLAND – Danny Mehlar scored 14 points as Freeport held off Poland 52-46 Wednesday night.

Alex Standen added 10 points for Freeport (8-7). Alex Smith led the Knoghts (7-8) with 13 points and Jon Lecznar scored 10.

Rangeley 72, Gould 52

BETHEL – David Jensen drained a game-high 24 points to propel Rangeley to a 72-52 victory over Gould in boys’ basketball action Wednesday.

Rangeley held a 29-20 advantage at the break before breaking the game open in the second half.

James Raymond chipped in for the Lakers with 21 points, while Justin Gallant added 19.

T.J. Savage led Gould (4-7) with 13 points, while Karl Olsen and Ian Siekman added 12 apiece.
