BETHEL – The Gould Academy Performing Arts Series will present The Hot Club of San Francisco at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8.

This ensemble of musicians celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Hot Club de France.

The musicians borrow the all-string instrumentation of violin, bass and guitars from the original Hot Club. But the ensemble has its own innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions from lead guitarist Paul Mehling.

Often called gypsy jazz, the music of The Hot Club of San Francisco has entranced audiences around the globe for over 10 years.

The public is invited to attend this evening of jazz in the academy’s Bingham Auditorium on Church Street.

General admission is $4 for students and $6 for adults. Tickets may be purchased at the door. For more information, call 824-3575.
