President Bush is not trying to mend Social Security, he is trying to end Social Security.

A simple extension of the earned income amount subject to Social Security is all that is needed to make Social Security solvent for at least 75 or more years. Why do we stop now at about $90,000?

Retirement should include: Social Security, pensions and savings (IRA, TSA, 401(k), etc.). Savings should be separate from Social Security, not connected.

Why end one of the only programs the government has that is solvent and working?
