It seams that governing officials in Augusta have dictated that we will get a tax reduction. They dictated that we will get a reduction in our assessment, but that a portion will come from the towns. How can the people in power call this a tax reduction?

It would seem to me that they should look at the exorbitant salaries of the school budgets. However, let’s look at the very people who make our laws. The issue of the legislators’ special license plates is a prime example that they are not in tune with voters’ objectives.

It would seem to me that the very people who were elected are simply shifting the tax burden. They should pass some real tax reform.

I have a very serious concern how this state will ever prosper with the existing climate in Augusta. But I guess that the people who get more from the state than the people who provide that money are always going to prevail.

I would love to see the officials in power justify their positions. I call on all state government officials in Augusta to cut the budget and to really take this state to the next level.
