FARMINGTON – Dorris M. Robbins, 83, of Farmington, died Sunday, Feb. 6, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington.
She was born July 14, 1921, in Chesterville, the daughter of Arthur and Flossie (French) Currier. She was educated in the schools of Chesterville and Farmington, graduating from Farmington High in 1938.
She married Henry Safford in 1941, in Wilton, and he died in 1945, she then married Norman Robbins in 1946, and he died in 1968. She worked several years in local shoe factories, and for six years at the Village Wash House. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and going for walks in the outdoors.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Safford of Dunedin, Fla., Arthur Robbins of Leeds, and David Robbins of Farmington; three daughters, Joyce King of Farmington, Sandra Coulombe of Gray, and Susan Essman of Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her two husbands; three brothers; and two sisters.
