LEWISTON – Nellie Dionne, 101, died peacefully Thursday evening, Feb. 3, at Montello Manor following a brief illness.
She was born March 27, 1903, in Wallagrass, and lived most of her life in Lewiston. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Dionne, in 1955.
She was the glue that kept our family together. If we were hungry, she fed us. If we were sad, she consoled us. If we were cold, she gave us warmth. She was everything to all of us. She is loved and will be sorely missed.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Brookus of Virginia; two grandchildren, John Stepp and Tracie Daneker of Maryland; four great-grandchildren; one nephew, Rene Ouellette of Lewiston; one niece, Jeannine Reny of Augusta; as well as other nieces and nephews.
