OXFORD – The Rock-O-Dundee Riders Snowmobile Club will host its annual Valentine dance and auction Saturday to raise money for student scholarships. The public is welcome.

It will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Emugene Staples Community Hall on Route 121 in Welchville. The Bel Airs will perform.

The proceeds from the dance and auction will help fund two $500 scholarships, which will be awarded this spring. The February event is the only fund-raiser for the scholarships.

The auction will be during intermission, with Henry and Caldwell Jackson as auctioneers. Items to be auctioned include: tickets to a race at New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, N.H.; tickets to the Busch North race in August at Oxford Plains Speedway; a Longaberger gathering basket; one-of-a-kind NASCAR drivers’ articles; and Patriots and Red Sox paraphernalia.

A raffle for two Longaberger baskets, a small market basket and an 11-inch measuring basket, will also be held, along with a 50-50 drawing. There will be numerous door prizes that have been donated by area businesses and individuals.
