PENACOOK, N.H. – Kathleen (Nadeau) LaBrecque, 52, of Penacook, N.H., formerly of Nashua, N.H., died on Feb. 6, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness.

She was born in Nashua, N.H., and graduated from Alvirne High School in 1970. She graduated from Notre Dame College of Manchester in 1995, with a bachelor’s of science degree in paralegal studies. She was a CASA volunteer for several years, during the 1990s.

She last worked in Manchester, N.H., as a regional reporter for the McGraw Hill Dodge Report. Previously she worked as a project coordinator at St. Paul’s School in Concord. She was a member, and proudly involved with the choir and other activities at the Immaculate Conception church in Penacook, N.H., where she maintained a treasured relationship with many friends. She also shared many good times with her friends at various breast cancer support groups. Also known as Mom, Meme, and Aunt Kathee, she touched the lives of so many with her kindness, generosity, and positive outlook on life and will forever be remembered in the hearts of her many friends and family members.

She was the beloved wife of James LaBrecque, and mother of Matthew and his wife, Susan (Leveille), of Weare, N.H. She was the daughter of Gloria Emery of Auburn, and the late Joseph P. Nadeau of Penacook, N.H., formerly of Portland, and the sister of Linda Nadeau of Augusta. She was the proud grandmother of Nicholas and Jillian. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, John and Dorothy LaBrecque of Sanbornton, N.H., formerly of Nashua, N.H.; stepfather, Reggie; half brothers, John and David Simard; and half sister, Cindy Moher; 14 nieces and nephews; a great-niece and nephew; and several cousins, aunts and uncles, all of Maine.
