BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Leonard A. “Lenny” Marcotte, 66, a resident of Binghamton, N.Y., died Jan. 27, in Binghamton.

Born in Berlin, N.H., Jan. 10, 1939, to Roland L. and Lucienne (Carrier) Marcotte, he lived in Lewiston-Auburn until 1961, and he graduated from Lewiston High School in 1957.

He served in the United States Marines from 1957 to 1960. He worked at the Dupont Bakery, prior to attending Oklahoma State University, and also for Sara Lee in Chicago, before moving to Binghamton in 1974, where he managed several Dunkin’ Donuts, retiring due to ill health, in 2004.

He enjoyed golfing, and never missed an opportunity to go south in the winter to play.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Sandra) Brown of Newark Valley, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Venetta, John, Naomi, Naolyn, Bethany and Julie Brown, all of New York; two brothers, Roland G., and Dr. Laurier Paul Marcotte and his wife, Margaret, of Lewiston; one sister, Mrs. Henry I. (Jacqueline) Klooster of Charlevoix, Mich.; and two sisters-in-laws, Paulette Marcotte, and Juliette Marcotte of Lewiston.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Marcel L., and Maurice G. of Lewiston.
