DOVER-FOXCROFT – Kenneth R. Proctor, 68, of Harmony, husband of Dolores (Roach) Proctor, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born in Bath, April 25, 1936, the son of Joseph Procter II and Edith (Merchant) Proctor McAlister.

He attended schools in Bath and Buckfield, and earned an associate degree in social work at UMA in 1988. He enjoyed woodworking, and turning beautiful pieces on the lathe. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He had composed several gospel songs.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores, of Harmony; his three sons, Bill and his wife, Esther, and their children, Erin and Jillian, Sterling, and Gabriel; three stepdaughters, Dena Martin and her husband, Ernie, and their children, Heather and Katie, Debbie Witham and her children, Brett Cossae, Heath Witham, and Kimberley Rosen and her husband, Richard, and their children, Rachel, and David; brother, Alfred and his wife, Anita, of New Gloucester; half brother, Will Proctor of Harpswell; two half sisters, Addie and Ruthie; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; brother-in-law, Ray Roach and his wife, Judy, of Brockville, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Judy White and her husband, Vinal, of Houlton, Becky Beers and her husband, Terry, of Kennebunk, and Leanne Slauenwhite and her husband, Dean, of Dyer Brook; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Rose Verrill; his brother, Joseph III; and his half sister, Nancy.
