The Wilton Board of Selectmen and extended search committee deserve a thank-you on the successful completion of hiring a new chief of police. Their selection of Detective Lt. Wayne Gallant clearly demonstrates the town’s commitment to provide the necessary leadership and experience required to efficiently and effectively serve and protect our community.

On behalf of the Franklin County Response Team, we look forward to working with Chief Gallant and will be privileged to have him as an integral part of our response efforts.

The Response Team coordinates the activities of law enforcement, victim services, medical professionals and the justice system to provide a supportive response for victims of domestic or sexual assault and child abuse. Chief Gallant’s experience and commitment to training will certainly foster the team’s efforts to ensure a high standard of services to victims and accountability to the community.
