LEWISTON – Androscoggin Valley Conservation District will hold its annual meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the USDA Service Center, 254 Goddard Road, Lewiston.

Charlie Todd, a wildlife biologist in the Endangered Species Program, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will give a presentation titled, “Bald Eagle Ecology & Recovery in Maine: The Comeback of a Threatened Species in the Androscoggin Valley.”

Todd has done extensive research on eagles throughout the state over the past two decades.

The district will present three awards, Outstanding Cooperator, Friend of Conservation, and Teacher of the Year for 2005. Desserts and coffee will be served, with a suggested donation of $5.
