RUMFORD – Roy Irving Faulkner Sr., 62, of Canton, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 11, at the Rumford Hospital, Rumford. He was a resident of Whitney Brook Lane, Canton.

He was born in Bryant Pond, on April 4, 1942, son of Leroy C. Barrows and Winnifred B. Herrick, and stepfather, Hollis F. Faulkner. He had attended schools in Norwich, Conn., and had served as a corporal with the United States Marines.

He had worked as a de-barker at the Isaacson Lumber Co. in Livermore Falls for many years. He enjoyed gardening, bingo, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was formerly married to Linda Mosher of Monmouth. Other survivors include a son, Roy Faulkner Jr., and companion, Susan Brett, of Canton; three daughters, Teresa Frost and husband, Wade, of South Paris, Victoria Jackson and Donald Jackson of Mt. Vernon, and Krystal Korhonen of Rumford; four sisters, Holly Hebert and husband, Michael, of Brookfield, N.H., Linda Harriman of Tampa, Fla., Debra Bickford and husband, Craig, of Chelsea, and Darlene Tripp and husband, Colby, of Winthrop; two brothers, Daniel Faulkner and wife, Dorothy, of Charlestown, Mass., and James Faulkner and wife, Pamela, of Farmington; four grandchildren, Ian and Wade Frost Jr., of South Paris, Natasha and Matthew Faulkner of Manchester; and his special friend, Anne Francis of Canton.

He was predeceased by a brother, Larry Faulkner; and a sister, Susan Gallant.
