LEWISTON – Pat O’Neil lit up the board with four goals as St. Dom’s rolled past Lawrence 12-1 in Class A hockey action at the Colisee Tuesday.

Jon Rutt chipped in for the Saints with a hat trick in a balanced offensive attack. Tom Gosselin contributed a pair of goals while Matt Manson, Tyler Martin and Ben Landry also tallied to complete the scoring.

Brady Blackman, John Emerson and Nate Brown split netkeeping duties, combining for 10 saves to record the win.

Andrew Englehart scored the lone goal for Lawrence late in the second period. Ali Woods handled goal keeping chores and turned away 45 shots fired in her direction.

Leavitt 7, Gorham 2

AUBURN – Cory Maillet collected a hat trick and Justin Rouillard chipped in with a goal and two assists to lead the Leavitt Hornets to a 7-2 win over Gorham.

Justin Grandmaison scored the first of his two goals for Gorham early in the first period, but Leavitt came back on two goals by Maillet to take a 2-1 lead into the second.

After Grandmaison tallied his second in the middle period, the Hornets (6-9) exploded for five goals in the third to take the win.

Evan Longchamps and Gabe Cloutier each had a goal and an assist, and Kenny Gauthier stopped 25 of 27 shots.

Basketball
Oxford Hills 41, Lawrence 23

SOUTH PARIS – Matt McDonnell netted 17 points and hauled down eight rebounds to pace Oxford Hills to a 41-23 rout over Lawrence in boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

Thomas Kothe chipped in for the Vikings (12-3) with 15 points.

Evan Bois led the Bulldogs (9-7) with a 10-point effort, the only player to reach double digits. Oxford Hills held a 22-15 lead at the break and pulled steadily away to seal the victory.

Mt. Blue 54, EL 44

AUBURN – Ted Neil poured in a game-high 20 points and Isaiah Brathwaite added 12 more, all on 3-pointers, as Mt. Blue upended Edward Little 54-44.

Neil also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cougars (10-5), who were coming off of a tough loss at home to Bangor.

Darin Meyers led the Red Eddies (4-11) with 11 points, while Ryan Goss drained three 3-pointers. Troy Barnies chipped in with five points, nine boards and five assists in the loss.

Arthur Trask had nine points for Mt. Blue, while Noah Paytas added six points and seven rebounds.
