AUBURN – Laura A. Sturtevant, 95, of Auburn, passed away Feb. 16, at Seville Park Plaza, Auburn.

She was wife of the late Reginald H. Sturtevant.

Born in North Chesterville, Feb. 22, 1909, she was the daughter of Walter and Harriet Wing. A graduate of Livermore Falls High School, she attended Emerson College in Boston.

She served in the Ladies’ Aid Society and the King’s Daughters, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls, where she was baptized. Together with her World War 1 Navy veteran husband, she was a long-time participant in American Legion activities.

Laura is survived by three children and their spouses, son, Arnold Sturtevant of Fayette and his wife, Leda Sturtevant, daughter, Joanne Stinneford and her husband, Neil Stinneford, of Weld, and daughter, Pamela Moore and her husband, Ronald Moore, of Hollis Center; a sister Virginia Wing Francis of Tallahassee, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She leaves ten grandchildren, Sarah, Peter and Andrew Sturtevant, Laura Gill, Deborah Vining, Krista Perry, Eric and Ryan Stinneford, David Moore and Jennifer Doyle; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Wing.
