LEWISTON – Leontine L. Rousseau, 89, formerly of 97 Webster St., Lewiston, died on Feb. 16, at d’Youville Pavilion. Her loving family was by her side.
Leontine was born on Jan. 29, 1916, in Canada, the daughter of Louis and Eva (Berube) Pelletier.
She married Donat Rousseau on June 30, 1962. Leontine was self-employed for many years as a beautician, with her sister, Anita.
She was a member of the French Club. She enjoyed music, dancing, buying and sewing clothes and hats, traveling, going to camp in summer to Turner at Little Wilson Pond, and ballroom dancing, having many trophies with her husband, Donat.
Leontine is survived by stepdaughters, Anita Malia of Poland and Theresa and her husband, Laurent Doucette, of Lewiston; brother, Fern and his wife, Simone Pelletier; nieces, Lillian Sammon of North Carolina, Monique Wood and husband, Ron, of Lewiston, and Gesile Swanson and husband, Warren, of Brunswick; nephews, Paul Pelletier of Lewiston and Howard McDaniels of New Mexico; sister-in-law, Dora Pelletier of Lewiston; five grandsons; three granddaughters; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
She was predeceased by her husband; sister, Anita; brother, Ephram, and her parents.
