LEWISTON – Kathryn L. Higgins, 90, a resident of 152 Nottingham Road, Auburn, died Friday afternoon at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Sanford, Sept. 24, 1914, the daughter of George and Delia (Houle) Bolduc.

She attended Lewiston schools, and was married to John Higgins who died March 12, 1973.

She was partner in Higgins Sports Center, having began the business with her husband, John, in 1952.

She was a former member of Martindale Country Club and had been active in the community both socially and professionally.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Joan Rice and her husband, Harold, of Downingtown, Pa.; one brother, Donald Bolduc of Rochester, N.H. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, John, she was predeceased by her son, Larry Higgins, who died Jan. 29, 2004.
